Good mental health leads to the overall positivity in someone’s life. Various mental illnesses come in one's life, yet we brush them all aside as they are not a very big deal. Such mental illnesses include anxiety and depression.

To maintain the maximum mental health, an important part that one should consider is exercise. The brain obtains food from the blood which comes from the heart. The exercise that one engages in makes the heart pump faster.
Therefore, the brain receives an increased supply of blood. This provides enough energy for the brains functions that will and up enhanced. Exercise is also a deviation from the normal day to day duties which helps in the relaxation of the brain.
4. Avoiding Stress
Stress is the executive killer of someone’s brain. Stress can be due to various reasons and may lead to drastic health effects such as depression and insomnia.
Combating stress needs one to be calm and make space engage in peaceful and relaxing activities such as yoga. It is a good time to make time for yourself to do the things you like.

Being alert may be seen as a vague thing. However, this is not the case. Being alert means being present minded every time.

It is also revealed scientifically that dehydration is a factor that can lead to poor mental performance as well as having a hand in the contribution of stress. In the selection of a good hydration liquid, you should try and avoid liquids such as soft drinks which have sugar.
This is because of the sugar will in turn cause dehydration and nullify the general effect. Water is a good liquid for this.
However, researchers prove that tea is a better hydrant than water. Therefore tea is highly recommended for hydration when it comes to the preservation of mental health.
8. Positive Thinking
An aspect that is not so often considered important by many people yet it carries a lot of weight in its practice is positive thinking. It is said that a successful person keeps succeeding as he/she thinks more often of his/her success.
This means that positive thinking always and never backing down is a leeway to success. This comes in handy in maintaining a good focus and a healthy brain.
